Policy Statement

Durell Software Ltd are committed to ensuring that its staff are not subject to behaviour of threats that may amount to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and or similar human rights abuses. We are also committed to ensuring our approach to tackling modern slavery in our own business and throughout our supply chains is consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We all have a responsibility to be alert to the risks, however small, in our business and in the wider supply chain. This statement sets out Durell Software’s actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to the business and to ensure steps are maintained to prevent both slavery and human trafficking.

Our Business

Durell Software Ltd is a company that specialises in back-office software to the Financial Services and General Insurance industries. We also have a front-office, underwriting led platform allowing our clients to market their products online and interact with their customers in a web portal.

Durell Software Ltd’s Modern Slavery Policy along with our Whistleblowing, Corporate Social Responsibility and Equal Opportunities policies reflect our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

Our Process for Managing Risks

In order to assess the risk of modern slavery we use the following processes:

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas when considering taking on new suppliers and regularly review our existing supply chains.
  • Review the potential for risk at regular intervals, including the possibility of re-auditing a supplier.
  • Protect whistle blowers.

Training

To maintain awareness and ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business our Modern Slavery Policy is included in our Employee Handbook. We provide training to all members of staff and this has been incorporated into our induction programme and also issued to staff on an annual basis.

Staff Wellbeing

Durell Software Ltd has a clear framework of rules and behaviours and encourages the reporting of any concern or breaches so that they can be dealt with appropriately in accordance with our policies and procedures.

Durell Software Ltd checks that staff can demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK, via background checks completed on all staff. This statement is made pursuant to section 54 (1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Durell Software Ltd’s Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year ending 31st December 2020. Approved by the Board of Directors on the 10th May 2021 and signed by Tom White, Managing Director.
