Contract Enquiry
Setup List
The Durell system can revalue certain investment and pension fund details on-line. To access the set-up process, starting from Durell’s Main Menu…

Contact each listed product provider to confirm your username and password, or to get a security certificate or paper contract as required (see above). To get a special Cofunds certificate send an email to integration@cofunds.co.uk with a request for a digital certificate for your company. In contrast Scottish Equitable, Zurich and Prudential use the UNIPASS certificate, which hopefully will become the standard for all providers. To get a UNIPASS certificate go to http://www.unipass.co.uk/ and follow the on-site instructions. For Durell valuations you’ll require a single UNIPASS certificate for all users, and a second single certificate for Cofunds. To install them see “Set Passwords and Certificates” below.
Set the Codes
Back at the main Setup screen, double-click the words “Insurers (Life)” in the menu list on the right

Check your Postcode
Some insurance companies also require your postcode, which should appear at the end of your “Name & address” on the Setup screen, as shown below. This can only be entered via a licence issued from Durell, so if yours is not correct please contact Durell’s Help Desk and request a new one. The postcode must appear on a line by itself, and must be in two blocks of characters separated by a single space. It need not be on the bottom line of the “Name & address”, but must be the last line of the address with any characters in it.

Installing the Certificates
The usual situation for accessing insurers’ websites is that each adviser has his or her own personal certificate. However only one certificate per insurer is normally registered for use with Durell, so for on-line valuations you’ll need just one UNIPASS certificate for all users contacting companies like Scottish Equitable, Zurich and Prudential, and then a second special certificate just for Cofunds. You’ll probably be sent your UNIPASS and Cofunds certificates as email attachments, in which case you should save them in a location accessible to every Durell user (i.e. on a shared network drive). You’ll then need to load these two certificates on every user’s computer, as follows...
· On the first computer open “Internet Explorer”
· Click “Tools” on the menu line and select “Internet Options”
· Click the “Contents” tab on the “Internet Options” pop-up
· Click the “Certificates” button, as shown below

· On the “Certificates” pop-up click the “Import” button, as shown below...

· This’ll start a “Certificate Import Wizard” in which you should use the “Browse” button to find your previously saved certificate

· You’ll be asked for the certificate’s password, after which you should save it in the “Personal” certificate store
· Repeat this process on every computer that will do on-line valuations via Durell

Finally log-in to Durell from any computer with any user name (that has the rights to edit the Durell setup), then starting from the Main Menu...
· Click the “Setup” button
· Double-click the words “Online contract enquiries” in the list on the right of the Setup screen
· Click on a company that requires a certificate (e.g. Zurich)
· Click the “Set Certificate” button
· Double-click the relevant certificate, which should appear in the “Personal” folder of the “Current User” on the left

Set the Clients
With most product providers that’s all you have to do. However with some of them, like Cofunds, the on-line enquiry system also requires you to enter Cofund’s own unique client ID for each client. They should send all of these to you on a CD or in an email.

To enter these codes, starting from the Durell Main Menu…
