Set-up, Transaction Trail
This is not a true set-up. It simply allows you to check
which user has done what. For example, who incorrectly renamed or deleted a
client record, so that corrective measures can be taken.
Use the “Signpost” button to select which type of
transactions to include in the displayed list (if in doubt, click and thereby
tick them all)…
- Show
non policy / claim transactions (i.e. all address set, diary and accounts
activity)
- Show
policy / claim transactions (i.e. policies & claims)
- Show
login / logout transactions (i.e. log ins and log outs)
Use the “Binoculars” button to re-order the Transaction
Trail by…
- Date
& time
- User-name
- Program
- Policy
reference
Checking Who Worked on a Given Policy Record
- Set
the Signpost button to show all transaction types
- Set
the Binoculars button to display by “Policy reference”, enter a search
value for the policy reference (e.g. 1111 as shown below) and click “OK”

- You’ll
then be able to see who worked on the policy in question, as shown below

Checking System Usage by Login Name
- Set
the Signpost button to only “Show log-ins and log-outs”
- Set
the Binoculars button to display by “User name”
- You’ll
then be able to see the times when each user was active on the system
Transaction Trail Report
Click “File / Print / Transactions” to activate the Listing
pop-up, shown below…
- Enter
the start and end dates (n.b. leave both blank
for all dates, or enter just the start date for all after that date, etc)
- Use
the “Order by” dropdown to choose the order in which the report should be
sequenced
- Tick
the transaction types to include (e.g. login / logout ones)
- Choose
whether the report should be for one, all or a selection of users
- Click
“OK”

For example, the above selection results in the report
below, that shows all the times when FAY was active on the system.
