Set-up, Licence
If
you have downloaded or been given a demonstration
copy of Durell it won’t be accompanied by a floppy disk with your licence.
Hence your system will be in the name of “Demonstration Company Ltd” and you’ll
be limited to one concurrent user (i.e. you can add user names, but only one
will be able to use the system at a time).
When
you purchase a licence (e.g. to “Financial Adviser” for two concurrent users)
you’ll be sent the licence files on a floppy disk or by email. The licence will
display your company name on the Main Menu and enable the number of users you
have requested to work concurrently.
To licence your system via files sent by email...

To prevent piracy the system will still be limited
to a number of months. The next refresh date is displayed on the Set-up screen.
Before this date Durell will send you either a free replacement licence floppy disk, or simply a new licence number in a letter. To enter
the latter, proceed as above, but without selecting the “from drive” option.
