Reports, Client, Web-link Log
The problem with having data to
display on your website is that there will then be two copies, so one of your
customers could update their own record on the website while one of your staff is
updating that same client’s record differently on your local Durell system.
This problem does not affect
Fact Finds, because while a client’s fact find is on the website it can only be
viewed on the local system.
However it could happen with basic
Personal Data, such as a client’s address. The system will automatically detect
any such clashes and give you a warning immediately you log in to Durell, as
shown below...

After the warning message you’ll
automatically jump to the Web-Link Log report, shown below....

In this example, five data clashes
have been reported because on the same day a customer has entered one address
line and four telephone numbers differently from one of your staff. The
currently highlighted clash, above, shows the problem is with Address line 2,
which reads “Castle Lodge House” on your local system, but has been entered as “Castle
Lodge Website” by the client.
If your local system is CORRECT
no action is required other than to disable the clash warning, so...
·
Click the tick-box
of the clash warning line
·
Click either “Set
checked events to Action Taken” or “Delete checked events”
If your local system is
INCORRECT you’ll need to fix it accordingly, so
·
Click clash
warning line
·
Click “View this
client and set event as Action Taken” – which will jump you to the appropriate Client
Screen
·
Edit the client’s
record accordingly (e.g. change address line 2 to “Castle Lodge Website” – if that’s
the correct address)
·
Save the client
record and exit back to the Web-link log to check the next clash
As your clash events are
fixed you should either delete them, or set their status to “Action Taken”, like
the first two items shown below, so that the warning message does not reappear
each time you log into Durell.
If you have a lot of old clash
events it will probably be easiest to delete them, but while you’re working on just
a few it will probably be easiest to mark them as “Action Taken”, so you can
see what you’ve just done, and what’s still left to fix...

The Web-link Log report can
also be accessed from Durell’s Main Menu via the Reports button, as shown
below...
