Reports, Client, Policy Register
The “Complete Policy Register”
uses your own Word templates to produce a multi-page Word document detailing every
policy for the selected client.

·
Starting from the
Main Menu, click the “Reports” button.
·
On the “Reports”
screen click “Complete policy register” and then click the “Proceed” button.
·
On the Policy Register pop-up, above…
1.
Use the “Address
Set” dropdown to select the required address set (e.g. “Clients, Individual”).
2.
Use the search
buttons to find a client in the selected address set.
3.
You will then see
all of that client’s policies in a list at the bottom of the window.
4.
Click the “Select
all” / “Deselect all” buttons to include or exclude all of the displayed policies
in the report, or tick and select items individually.
5.
Tick the “Select
by stage” option to select just those at given stages (e.g. just “Active” and “Active
Joint” ones), then manually edit this selection as required.

6.
Click the
“Include Word template as header” and use the “[…]” button to select which Word
template to use at the front of the register, as shown below (n.b. this will be located
in the “Template” sub-folder of your “Imw-Data”
folder).

7.
Click and thereby
tick the option to “Include index of policies”, which will appear after the
Word template header. For the sake of simplicity the layout and format of this part
of the register has been pre-defined by Durell. In the unlikely event that you
have to produce a policy index in a special format then you can still do so,
but separately from the rest of the report, as shown below and described in the
Help section regarding the Document Viewer, entitled “Listing a Client’s
Policies”.

8.
Before starting
to print ensure all the selected policies appear in black, with the word “Yes” in
the Template column, like the Fortis Building & Contents one, shown below.
If one appears in red with nothing in the Template column then highlight it and
click the “Select templates for products” button.

9.
On the ensuing “Setup
Product Templates” pop-up, shown below, select one of your existing Word
templates for the product in question (e.g. the Fortis buildings and contents
policy) and then select one for all other products of a similar type (e.g. all
other building and contents policies). To use the same template in each
instance simply click the “Copy from above” button. The point of this is so you
can associate specific Word templates with specific products, and set a default
one to use for all products of the same type. For the sake of simplicity you
are advised to keep to defaults that can be used for all products of the same
type, in which case you’ll find you can set-up this process for all clients and
policies in just a few minutes.
10. In the event that you select a template that hasn’t
yet been linked to a Data Set (i.e. a set of data fields) you’ll see the words “Yes
(no fields)” in the Template column. In this case you’ll need to exit the
program and correct the template in question before proceeding.

11. Once you’ve selected the header documents, policies
and their templates, just click the “Print” button.
