Policies, Complete A New Policy
After starting a new policy record (see “Policies, Create A New Policy”)
by selecting its insurer, product and policyholder, subsequently displayed at
the top of the policy details screen, or “flat” view, as shown below, you will
need to…
- Enter
the policy reference (see “Policies, Entering References”)
- Enter
the policy stage (see “Policies,
Entering Stage”)
- Enter
the start and end dates (see “Policies,
Entering Start & End Dates”)
- Enter
or edit the adviser & introducer or lead (see “Policies,
Entering Adviser & Lead”)
- Enter
the “Business” type, “Source of Business”, “Basis of advice” and “Advertising”
(see “Policies,
Entering Business Type, Source of Business, etc”)
- Enter
various other details, as required
- Enter
premium and commission details
- Enter
pay-aways to advisers and introducers
- Post
to the accounts
- Exit
During the above, you shoud use the…
- black
“Curved Right-Arrow” or the “PgDn” on your keyboard to move onto the next
screen.
- black
“Curved Left-Arrow” or the “PgUp” on your keyboard to return to a previous
screen
- “Page”
drop-down at the top right of the screen, if available, to go directly to
a particular screen
- “Floppy
Disk” or “Save” button to explicitly save your work (though it’ll be saved
automatically, anyway)
- “Exit”
or “Open Door” button, or press the “Esc” key on your keyboard to exit
from the policy
- white
“Spectacles” button to switch from the flat view to the scrolling view of
the policy
