Investments, Valuation
Report
To print a
portfolio valuation, starting from the scrolling list of policies…
- Click the word “File” on the
menu line
- Click the menu option “Print”
- Click the menu option “Valuation”,
then on the “Print Valuation” dialogue, like that shown below…
- Click the “>” button to
select a different client, if required
- Use the “Select policy stages”
as required (e.g. to only include or exclude fundamentally “Active”
policies – see “Set-up Policy
Stages”) or use the “Select” button to pick individual stages
- Select your preferred
valuation title from the “Use for valuation title” dropdown
- Tick the box to “Include word doc
as header” and then use the “…” button to select a template from your
Durell “TEMPLATE” folder (e.g. “Valuation Front Page” – see “Documents, Templates, New”)
- Tick the box to “Show report
in black and white” if your colour printer cannot cope with its solid
colour pie charts
- Tick the boxes of the
investment types to include (e.g. clear Endowments & Pensions)
- Tick the boxes to include fund
details, and graphs (i.e. pie charts) for sector, type and risk
- Use the “Show growth” dropdown
to show compound or simple growth
- Tick the box to show the plan
name (e.g. “9% Savings Plan”) for savings accounts (n.b. instead of the
account number)
- Optionally tick the box to
include the text contained in the “Details” field of each contract
- Optionally tick the box to
show the yield % instead of the unit price
- Click “Preview” to see
on-screen
- Click “Print” to get a hard
copy

You should
then get a report like that shown below…

Saving & Loading
Preferred Report Settings
If the
selections you chose for your valuation differ from Durell’s standard or
“default” selections, then you can save then as shown in “Reports, Saving Selections”.
Risk Profile
The risk
profile will only work if you’ve first manually set-up your funds with “risk
factors”, as shown in “Set-up,
Fund Prices & Graphs”.
Yield %
The “Yield
%” figure is taken from the “Setup / Fund prices and graphs” screen, as shown
below.

Data feeds
such as Fin Express include yield figures for a few funds, but in the majority
of cases you’ll probably need to enter these manually, as shown below, and
described in “Set-up,
Fund Prices & Graphs”.
