Investment Events - Income

Entering or Editing a Regular Event

This is similar to “Investments, Events - Accumulations, Dividends & Admin Charges” except that it is for a regular investment event (e.g. for income), but…

• On the “Edit Event” pop-up, shown below…
• Set the “Event type” and the “Action” (see “Understanding Event Types and Actions”)
• Enter the “Nett” amount of income (n.b. in this case there is no tax )
• Select the “Per” (e.g. to “Monthly”)
• Enter the dates in the “From” and “Until” fields (or set the end date as “…or sold”)

• Click the “Add” button at the bottom of the screen to add the first fund, as shown below
• Select the first (existing) fund from the “Fund” drop-down
• Continue using the “Add” button till the full amount has been allocated to the funds
• Click “OK” when done

• You should now return to the “Funds” screen, where after re-calculating the totals, you can choose to click “Show events” or “Show transactions”, as shown below…

Deleting Income Events

A regular income event is shown above. If you delete such an income event then afterwards you’ll also need to edit the “Total dividends, income & sales” value for each associated fund, as shown in the warning message below…

This is because the system will assume that you deleted the event in order to work at fund level, rather than at event level (i.e. although it will delete the event, it’ll leave the total value of the event unchanged in the “Total dividends, income & sales” field on the “Edit Fund for…” pop-up, as shown below.
